Meet Cate & Luke, two kind, down-to-earth, and lovely souls who will be saying “I do” this very Saturday! Isn’t that wonderful? I’m so excited, so let me give you a peek at their sweet fall prairie engagement. They began their session at Luke’s parents’ beautiful home near West Point, and though everywhere else the trees were still showing green, here they were BURSTING with warm fall colors. It was as if the trees had timed showing their beautiful colors to celebrate with Cate and Luke! But before we go any further, I need to show you this portrait of Cate’s beloved pup (who waited very patiently for his pictures) in Luke’s beloved truck Bessie. Because vintage trucks and puppies make me happy. ❤An old, old oak, whose spreading limbs reached all the way to the bright waters of the lake, seemed to lean protectively over these two sweethearts. This family farmland is Cate and Luke’s happy place, and they loved showing us all their favorite spots. Jonathan and I felt so at home wandering with them through the woods and fields and exploring the hidden creeks….Luke led us to this little hidden spot in the woods, and I am so glad he did. Just look how the afternoon light danced through the trees…Do you see how this sweet puppy is being so good and looking directly at the camera? That’s because I was tossing green bodock balls in the air behind Jonathan’s head. 🙂Cate and Luke, you have shared your friendship with us as well as your love story, and our lives are richer for it. We can’t wait to witness the precious moments of your wedding in just a few short days. May God bless you richly as you walk hand in hand in this beautiful adventure called life. ❤ We’ll see you soon!
