I’m so excited to share this elegant and whimsical bridal session at A Painted Lady Bed & Breakfast with you! Candace was one of our beautiful summer brides, and since her wedding was an outdoor ceremony, she wisely scheduled a pre-wedding bridal session with us. I LOVE when brides do this! A wedding gown is a work of art, and a bridal session provides another opportunity for a bride to enjoy feeling beautiful in her dress. It’s also a PERFECT time to schedule a hair and makeup trial run before the Big Day! Finally, a wedding day can be a whirlwind, so a bridal session is a relaxed, fun way to get lovely, personalized portraits like Candace’s.I’m absolutely in love with A Painted Lady. This beautiful Gilded Age home was built in 1890 by the Burris family, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2001 it was purchased and lovingly restored by Jennifer Longmire, who filled the rooms with period antiques and Southern hospitality. She and her husband now operate the home as one of Columbus’ premier bed and breakfast inns. Candace looked right at home on the front porch! Her lighthearted, playful personality made this session so much fun.The interior of the Painted Lady is a jewel box of rich color. Every where you turn, there is something beautiful to see. The elegant Victorian setting was a perfect backdrop to Candace’s dramatic gown.Every corner of this lovely home was a photograph waiting to happen! If you are planning a wedding, I hope these photos inspire you to schedule a bridal session of your own! Candace, thank you so much for giving us the gift of a photographers’ dream – photographing a beautiful bride in a beautiful home! In closing, Jonathan and I extend our heartfelt thanks to Jennifer and John Longmire, innkeepers of this Columbus treasure, for allowing us the opportunity to photograph our lovely bride in their beautiful bed and breakfast.
