Kathleen and Cody are a kindhearted and creative couple. Their smiles light up the room, and they love life. They share a deep love for their Savior, their families, and MSU! Jon and I were delighted to help them capture the sweet moments of their afternoon wedding at the lovely First Baptist Church Chapel in Starkville, MS last September.
Kathleen and Cody’s wedding day gifts to one another were precious.
While Kathleen and her beautiful bridesmaids finished their preparations, we had fun hanging out with Cody and his friends. These guys were a HOOT. They kept Cody (and us) laughing the whole time!
My favorite moment was when they all piled up in Cody’s awesome vintage truck.
I love this sweet moment that Cody shared with Kathleen’s lovely mother.
In the meantime, Kathleen’s friends helped her finish dressing. I loved how they reacted when they saw her in her dress for the first time!
Now it was Dad’s turn to see his little girl for the first time in her wedding gown. He was so nervous! My heart melted for him.
The grounds of the beautiful chapel, illuminated by the mellow autumn light, were a perfect backdrop for Kathleen and her bridesmaids.
These girls were hilarious! They kept Kathleen laughing!
I love these portraits of Kathleen. She absolutely GLOWED.
Cody had a special request – that we photograph Kathleen on the stairs of the historic Chapel. We were MORE than happy to grant his wish!
That DRESS, y’all.
Kathleen’s bouquet was so lovely, full of sunny, warm colors, perfect for a sweet September wedding.
After Kathleen was safely tucked away, Cody had a few fun portraits with the bridesmaids and his ushers.
As the clock ticked nearer to 4 P.M., Kathleen, her mother, and her maids shared a moment of prayer.
Before Kathleen entered the chapel, Cody, a talented musician, played a special song on the piano.
And then it was time.
Down the aisle she walked on her Daddy’s arm, smiling with joy.
And the two became one.
After a few fun, sweet photo ops with their wedding party and their families, Kathleen and Cody headed to the Reception, which was held in the heart of Bulldog Country at the Bryan Athletic Building at Mississippi State. And of course they left in Cody’s awesome truck.
The Bryan Athletic Administration Building is an AMAZING venue for a wedding reception!
The tall windows overlooking the lake shed beautiful light on Kathleen and Cody’s joyful, music-filled celebration.
Even the youngest guests had a great time dancing!
As the sun set on their beautiful September wedding, Kathleen and Cody stepped down to the lakeshore for a few more romantic images.
And then they rejoined their friends and family to dance the night away, til time to say goodbye. Their friends and family sent them off in a shower of bubbles and the ringing of a hundred tiny cowbells!
Kathleen and Cody, we will never forget your beautiful September wedding! You & your loved ones made us feel a part of your family, and we loved every moment.
